KHARTOUM, SUDAN - The host city of the 2006 Developing Nations Football Championship erupted in cheers that nearly drowned out the cries of the starving and wounded Tuesday when the underdog Somali side, playing four down due to injuries and landmines, outlasted the more experienced if disease-ridden Rwandans 1-0 to win the inaugural Third-World Cup.

It sounds like we have it extremely good compared to them. I'm glad they can still play soccer, and I'm glad somebody won! Life can be cruel, but God is in control and will bring everything into judgment whether it is good or evil. We definitely need to remember them and the poor all over the world.
Sorry for the confusion but this is a joke from a satirical paper.
maybe this joke is not funny and comes from arrogance and insensitivity to nations torn by poverty and disease. If so I ask for forgiveness.
I understand your funny bone. Its also sad that such tragedy happens around the world. But it looked like they were making the best of it, as this world deems "best." Of course there is a better way. Trust in God will bring each individual out of the misery that pervades those populations.
I want to be like these boys!
Choosing to play and be light-hearted even though there is great evil in the world around us is a gift.
