DOG OF FLANDERS - 1999, PG, stars Cheryl Ladd. Amazing, touching film, shows the youngest budding love between a boy and girl at the beginning of puberty - with only as much as a light kiss between them. The movie portrays the fierce courage of a child and follows his life into his early early adulthood. This story, set in 19th century Holland, reminds me of Hans Christian Andersen themes.
